The Taf Fechan River Walk follows the river as it winds through shaded woodland and quiet riverside scenery, with birdsong, moss-covered trees and the sound of flowing water throughout. Begin at Pont Sarn and follow the gentle path alongside the Taf Fechan as you enter the woodland.
Continue through shaded forest with tall trees, ferns and occasional glimpses of the river — especially beautiful in spring and autumn.
Reach the dramatic narrow gorge where the river cuts deeply through the valley, water echoing through the trees.
Loop back through the woodland on a slightly higher track to complete the circuit.
Mostly flat with gentle slopes. Some sections can be muddy or slippery after rain, but it suits most walkers, including families.
