The Central Beacons

Beacons Circuit

A superb high-level loop linking several of the major summits in the Central Beacons — big views, dramatic ridges and a full mountain day, without the crowds of the main Pen y Fan paths.

Overview

A full day on the high ridges

The Beacons Circuit strings together the great summits of the Central Beacons into one long, immersive day. It's a route for experienced walkers who want ridges, steep climbs and far-reaching views — including the famous “Diving Board” at Fan y Big — with far fewer people than the standard summit paths.
